Maple Wanted Crusted Salmon
This Walnut Maple Crusted Salmon is an easy, elevated way to enjoy salmon at home. The salmon is generously seasoned with Starseed Kitchen 11 Magic Herbs & Spices, then topped with a sweet and savory crust made with organic walnuts, pure maple syrup, extra virgin olive oil, fresh parsley, and sea salt.
As the salmon bakes, the walnuts toast and the maple syrup caramelizes, creating a golden, crunchy crust while keeping the salmon tender and flavorful underneath. It’s the perfect balance of savory herbs, natural sweetness, and healthy fats.
Serve this salmon with roasted seasonal vegetables, wild rice, a simple green salad, or your favorite vegetable side for a nourishing weeknight dinner that feels a little extra special.

INGREDIENTS FOR MAPLE WALNUT CRUSTED SALMON FILETS
This Walnut Maple Crusted Salmon is one of those recipes that looks elevated but is incredibly simple to make. The combination of savory herbs, crunchy walnuts, and just a touch of maple creates a restaurant-worthy salmon dinner with minimal prep.
- Salmon filets, 4-6 ounces each
- Starseed Kitchen 11 Magic Herbs & Spices
- Organic walnuts
- Real maple syrup
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Sea salt
WHY USE REAL MAPLE SYRUP?
Pure maple syrup gives this salmon crust a subtle, natural sweetness that balances the savory herbs and richness of the walnuts. As the salmon bakes, the maple syrup helps the walnut topping caramelize, creating that beautiful golden crust.
Be sure to look for 100% pure maple syrup, rather than pancake syrup or maple-flavored syrup, which can contain corn syrup, artificial flavors, and other added ingredients.
A little goes a long way in this recipe. You get just enough sweetness to complement the salmon without making the dish taste overly sweet.

NOTES FOR MEAL PREP
This Walnut Maple Crusted Salmon works great for meal prep. Prepare the salmon as directed and allow it to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
For reheating, I recommend warming the salmon in the oven at 350°F until just heated through. This helps keep the walnut crust crisp. You can also enjoy it cold or at room temperature over a salad.
Serve with roasted vegetables, wild rice, mashed potatoes, sautéed greens, or a simple green salad for an easy, balanced meal.
For best quality, enjoy within 3 days of preparation.
This recipe would work great on any style of salmon, halibut, sea bass or other flaky white fish.
