Broccoli Cheddar Quiche
A recipe for a large broccoli cheddar quiche made with extra broccoli florets for a more high vibration breakfast or brunch. Bacon optional.
Large Broccoli Quiche
I started making this quiche for my meal prep clients. It’s basically a classic quiche recipe, doubled, using better quality ingredients.
This is a great meal prep dish for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I pair it with a side salad to create a complete meal for my clients.
What Makes It A Healthy Broccoli Quiche
A healthy quiche is all about the ingredients. For this recipe, I suggest you use the following ingredients.
Ingredients for a Broccoli Cheddar Bacon Quiche
- Two store-bought single crust pie dough or a double batch of homemade dough, using organic or gluten free ingredients as desired.
- Organic or grass fed, grass finished butter.
- Organic yellow onion.
- Five strips of the best quality bacon you can source. I use cherrywood smoked bacon from The Butchery Quality Meats in Southern California.
- Organic or pasture raised eggs.
- Organic raw heavy cream. I use Raw Farm raw cream. You can find raw milk in your area through the Weston A Price Foundation.
- Organic broccoli florets.
- Grated organic raw sharp cheddar cheese such as Organic Valley or Raw Farm.
- Real sea salt and coarse black pepper
Crustless Broccoli Cheddar Quiche
Yes, you can make any quiche crustless. Simply butter the baking dish before pouring in the egg and broccoli mixture.
For a more easy clean up, you can also add parchment paper to your dish.
Easy Broccoli Quiche
I consider this broccoli quiche recipe quite easy. Make it once, and you’ll be able to prepare it quickly and easily in no time.
Chef Tips
Don’t skimp on good quality ingredients. When you are making a recipe with just a few ingredients, the quality and their flavor really count.
Prepare more broccoli than you think you’ll need. You can always enjoy the leftovers.
You can steam the broccoli or blanch it. I prefer blanching.
To store, refrigerate cooled quiche, tightly covered, up to 3 days. To reheat quiche, cover with foil and place in a 325 degrees oven until warmed, about 15 minutes.

Ingredients
- 2 store-bought single crust pie dough or a double batch of homemade dough
- 1 TBSP organic butter

- 5 strips of the best quality bacon you can source, sliced into 1/4 inch strips

- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high. Add bacon (optional) and cook for 2 minutes. Add onion, season with salt and pepper, and cook until transluenct and golden, 5 to 8 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and cream. Add onion, broccoli florets, and cheese and season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Whisk to combine, pour into crust, tent with aluminum foil and bake until center of quiche is just set, 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
