Description
Pan seared tofu cubes prepared with extra firm tofu and seasoned with Starseed Kitchens organic Adobo spice with turmeric.
Ingredients

- 1 block extra firm organic tofu
- 1 Tablespoon Starseed Kitchen Adobo spice
- 1 Tablespoon coconut oil, olive oil or avocado oil
Instructions
- Place 1 block of extra firm tofu on a kitchen towel, then on a plate. Add a plate on top. Add weight on the top plate, such as 2 cans, to press excess water out of the tofu. Let sit for 1 hour.
- Slice tofu in half, in the middle of the block of tofu. Then sliced into half inch cubes. (For additional instructions, watch this video on Instagram).
- Place tofu cubes in a large plastic bag. Add 1 tablespoon of Starseed Kitchen Adobo spice. Toss well till all spice is covered on the tofu.
- In a large non stick skillet, add 1 tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add tofu cubes. Let brown on one side, then rotate. Repeat till tofu has browned on all sides, about 10 minutes.
- Serve immediately or store for meal prep for up to 5 days.
Notes
Be sure to use extra firm tofu and press out excess water.
